Twin Oaks Branch, Austin Public Library: what do users think?

Chief 10: They were an excellent staff as most of them are. I was surprised to see most of the kids begging their parents to stay. I guess I was on my best behavior, the staff let me have earbuds headphones. They have a piano 🎹 out front if anyone would like to play the boogie woogie .

Jacqueline Tena: A relaxed and peaceful place, ideal for studying

Judah Rice: The staff here is just outstanding- always SO friendly and helpful. I wish there was better accessibility for library users without cars, but that's not the library's fault. CapMetro having service only a few times a day to this location is a bummer though.

Jennifer Moore: Fabulous library!

Opal Xajuz: Started getting really crowded this summer so I started going to other APLs. Still love my home library though!

Sarah: AMAZING customer service! If I could give 10 stars I would.I live in Denton and was calling this branch to see if they had private meeting rooms that I could reserve when I visit my sister in Austin, so that I can meet with my patients virtually and not have to cancel sessions.I spoke with Anne, who answered the phone cheerful and excited. She immediately walked me through options at this branch and others in the city. She walked me through where to go online and how to reserve rooms. She was patient, funny and has an infectious positive attitude. At the end of the call she confirmed I had all the information I needed.Thank you, Anne!

Melissa Nguyen: i love this neighborhood library. It’s quiet and never crowded; the perfect place to work or read. the staff is friendly and the services available such as printing and EV charging are much appreciated for the neighborhood. Plus, they have fun events like a boardgame day every fourth Saturday, Spanish practice conversion group Thurs evenings and Adult lego nights.

Elizabeth Strasma: We highly recommend this library! Just the right size for us, in a well-designed building with helpful staff. It has an appealing children's section, with some toys as well as books, and often there are interesting activities to do. They have a wide range of programming for adults, too.

June Iparis: My favorite branch in the downtown area!silent work area has a lovely view outside. And the environment is nice and quiet. Beautiful flowers in the outside area too!

Babaye Mati: Feeling awesome when I was here, they have good collections.

Malak Hmimy: is also a place to reflect on the wealth disparity in Austin.

swaroop krothapalli: This modern library boasts event spaces, dedicated sections for all interests, and a stunning rooftop terrace with downtown views. While parking requires a fee, and library cards are limited to Austin residents, the library itself is a gem.

Destiny Bultena: This is so cool just to visit. It’s huge, it’s right on the river, they have games you can play in there, there are many options for seating, and most notably for me, was the incredibly beautiful rooftop garden.

Jim Cramer: Beautiful library.

P G: Katy is ⭐ Thank you!

Maggie Regalado: I love the 6th for. Such beautiful views. The gift shop has a great selection of gifts

Emery: Walk to the top to enjoy the solar covered patio or play some board games in a middle section.Plenty of places in this library to spread out and get your own place to relax.

Lorin Cann: This library is awesome!

Suzy Day: One of my fave spots for working or relaxing when I'm downtown. Parking is free for the first hour. There's also a cute gift shop with local items and library swag on the first floor.

Joshua Gibbs: An amazing library. I came for story time with my 3 year old at 10am and there so many other kids there! We spent another 2 hours exploring, reading, playing with the toys and even the piano. We spent time on the roof garden and the reading outside area in the kids section. So cool!

Zachary Gwin: Beautiful building, gorgeous views, especially towards the river and west to rolling green hills.

Thao Ha: Huge space with beautiful art. There's a gift shop and the volunteer and staff were sooo helpful. There are events there for kids all the time. They also have a small gallery for a local artist.

Luke Hallard: Fabulous building

LBJ Presidential Library: what do users think?

Eric Johnson: Just turned 18 when President Johnson left office. Fantastic library lots to see listen to.Am amazed at all the new programs he got passed !Think he should be # 3 on list of Presidents. Washington whom without there would be no USA. Lincoln for the Emancipation Proclamation and keeping our Nation together. LBJ for getting bills passed to start full integration in schools housing and employment. One hundred years after Lincoln freed all slaves. Our nation had to wait 189 years for the 2nd. paragraph of the Declaration of Independence to become a reality. Most impressive for a southern man. Eric from Lombard, IL

Chris B: New traveling music exhibit curated by Bruce Springsteen--that was worth it by itself!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Janie Malborough: Our first Presidential library - now all the others have to live up to this one! We spent 3 1/2 hours and enjoyed every minute! LBJ accomplished so much during one of the most tumultuous times in US history. Extensive and informative displays. Would actually go back given the chance.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Alexandra Rice: A well done library. Very informative. I liked the music museum part they have going on now.

Garry Kepes: Very nice presidential library. There is a lot of good civil rights memorabilia and stories mixed in with the times.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Pam: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure

John Gardner: Outstanding. What a great man with great values. History of American music exhibit was great as well.

Marty West: The only Presidential Library I have visited so I can't compare to others but an excellent review of LBJ's life, career and accomplishments. I spent 2 hours catching the highlights, one could easily 5 hrs to read, watch and listen to all of the displays.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Allan Hagin: Well worth the visit. Parking is a problem when lot is full. There are no overflow areas available.

Paul Delacruz: I recently explored the LBJ Presidential Library after it has an extensive renovation but this visit was to see the Music America: Iconic Objects from America's Music History temporary exhibit. They have a dedicated parking lot but it was full and decided to park in the next one dedicated to the University of Texas. It was a Saturday so I am sure they did not mind. The building itself is very impressive and always enjoy visiting this place ever since my parents brought me here when I was a small child. On this day there was a lot of of people visiting where I believe may have been eclipse tourists in town finding things to do in Austin while they wait for Monday. The Music America exhibit was definitely soothing to see and recommend it. The rest of the museum takes you back in time when Lyndon Baines Johnson was president and ran the show in times when a lot was happing in America. They have lots of timelines with historical events.Make sure to ride the elevator to the 10th floor where find a replica of the Oval Office, Lady Bird's office and collection. The grounds are also spectacular with nice views of the UT campus and Tower.

Neil Bergman: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

David Saidel: The LBJ Library is a wonderful tribute to President Johnson. There are hours of recordings of calls between LBJ and prominent politicians and VIPs. Besides the standing exhibits there is always a rotating exhibit.

Tayla Hammons: I had zero expectations going into visiting this museum. I was blown away by how well it was laid out. I learned a great deal about LBJ that I had no idea about. Great museum.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Lizette P. Benitez: We were very impressed with this museum. It is very detailed oriented and very well presented. The only upset is that there’s a wall of portraits of all the US presidents and first ladies except for President Trump and first lady, Melania. No matter what our opinions are, we cannot rewrite history. His portrait along with his wife’s portrait must be put up on that wall.

Ty Scott: This was my first time ever visiting a presidential library and it was really great. It was cool to see the history and all the accomplishments that occurred. This visit makes me want to visit some of the other presidential libraries around the nation.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Scott Bosell: Great experience, Have read many books on LBJ, and this just was the cherry on top of the cake..at 76, I was personally right in the center of what was going on in his presidency and my wife who is 72, did not realize there was SO much more to LBJ other than the Vietnam War. He was an amazing person, and the Library brought it all into focus.

Rita Sesko: about his Great Society, the peek you get at the man himself is the most authentic we have seen so far. The banks of telephones in each area allows you to hear how it all happened, IN HIS VOICE. You quickly learn why he was such an intimidating politician, a true champion of the disenfranchised, and a genuine tough guy as well as a consummate gentleman at times. He was a Texas-sized personality. I would have liked to have lunch with him. But I would have NEVER wanted to be on his bad side. Thrust into a period of extreme change, he navigated it by never slowing down. He could not outrun Vietnam, but the amount of legislation he got passed is truly awe inspiring and affects all of us to this day. Laid out in an easy to navigate way, there is MUCH reading to do and it was a walk through the turbulent time of the 60's as well as a glimpse into the last century. Allow 2-3 hours to fully absorb it all, eat first! HIGHLY recommended. We used a Groupon, but it was cheaper than some libraries.

Victor: and a museum

Wells Branch Community Library: what do users think?

Jerry Dawson: Quiet, and conducive to reading and relaxing, like a library used to be - should be. Staff are decent, but a little controlling. A decent selection books to choose from, although the video library selection is mostly older, B movies. All in all a great library to visit. It is perfectly quiet 95% of the time.

Leandra Contreras: Very nice staff

Heidi Anhalt: Great programming for youth and adults. My children like to come to craft nights. This library is independent and not apart of the Austin network.

mari adams: It's clean, kept up, services are great.

SH J: it's great to have a well run and functional local library. all of the electrical ports work, there is decently fast internet, and some seating for studying/working, all for free. we are very fortunate to have this library- thanks to who runs it.

Free your Mind: Loved it.

100% PURE MINDFCK: I have been comming here off and on for several months to escape the heat. I find this place a excellent spot for a cooling station for those in need. The employees are always friendly and welcoming and do not treat me strange like in some other libraries. Thanks for the lives you save with compassion.♥️

Dwayne Thompson: Nice small neighborhood library!

Carla Stevens: Wells Branch library offers lots of fun, exciting activities, for all ages. From various creative art events to knit and crochet. The staff is helpful, and friendly and there is a great selection of online books, magazines, and movies in addition to what is at the library.

North Village Branch, Austin Public Library: what do users think?

Sadie M: Nice librarians and chill atmosphere. Good seating and parking. Small space and they make it work well.

scott butki: My favorite library branch. I volunteer here twice a week, shelving books, which I find cathartic

Courtney Rosenthal: A delightful, small neighborhood library. I usually reserve the book I want and have it sent here for pickup. The reserve shelves and convenient and self-checkout kiosk is right there. Of course if you want the personal touch, there are usually a couple of staff people to front ready to assist.

Matt Sejnowski: Friendliest librarians ever, and knowledgeable and ready to help. Everyone should get library card and READ ! Or just check out DVDs

Flor Dary: It was the first time I went with my daughter. They were so kind to us, they actually explained it to us and helped us very well despite the language. You can bring books, dvd, blu-ray. There's a little bit of everything. If you are at home with your children without knowing what to do, this is an excellent option. My daughter loves manga and here she was able to get them and take them home to read.Thank you so much!To register you need a utility bill and identification. It's totally free!

Goko K: Besides the new Central Library, North Village Branch is one of the best libraries in Austin. The personnel is super friendly and there are various areas to enjoy reading, music listening, children section, youth section, even a nice little movie theater which can function as a meeting place as well. There is enough free parking place, the restrooms are kept clean. It would be nice to have more books about modetn technologies and software programming, not to rely always on borrowing from the Central Library.

Christopher Gervais: Good place. Get all your book needs and check out the other amenities, there is A LOT more than I expected, and I bet you expect either. Seriously, hit them up and find out.

Windsor Park Branch, Austin Public Library: what do users think?

Topaz San Felipe: Fantabulous staff. Lots going on here, groups, crafts, Huge collection of books.

Diana Vasquez: A pleasant branch to visit. I have bought a few DVDS there and one book.

A F: Great staff and a great place to read the books I love an study if I have to.

Heather C.: I only popped in for a moment to drop off a book that had to be done inside. The staff I interacted with were pleasant and happily helped me.  The entrance faces the road, with a fabulous large lion protecting it outside. There is also a wooden piano chained down inviting you to play.Along the edge of the parking lot is a story path, perfect for young school aged children. It is "The Three Billy Goats Buenos" and looks very cute! There is a lovely green area outside by the parking lot.  And the parking lot, while not huge, does appear to be adequate for a branch library location.

Beatriz: Nice neighborhood library. It has a kid's area with cute tables and activities, computers with kid's games and a generous selection of books for the little ones. Some tables and sofas for adults to read and study around the library as well.

Mimi Nunez: The Windsor Park library is wonderful. The staff is incredible, especially one named Sean. I use the public computers and need help a lot of the time. A lot of help as I’m looking for a job and half the time can’t figure out how to put my resume on applications, etc. He has helped me immensely. He is so patient, knowledgeable and kind. I can’t say enough about how much his assistance has meant to me. What a great guy!If you’re looking for a library, Windsor Park is the one to go to. I highly recommend it!

Wail A: Got my library card in 3 minutes. Courteous, welcoming and helpful staff. Very well organized. It’s going to be my favorite branch 👍

Lydia Walker: the PCL is my happy place. before i transferred to UT all i wanted was a safe place to study with computers and quiet zones and the pcl has that and more. i can study here at night and feel safe and it’s 24 hours. i appreciate that you can check out a phone charger with your student ID. i need that bc i’m here almost every day and forget to charge my phone. they have beautiful macs available to students, their poetry section is unmatched and they just renovated the scholars commons with some really fun chairs and colorful booths.

Chandra: Vast library with 5 floors and 4th floor is very quiet to have a focus reading. It has everything from magazines to books of all categories. Parking is difficult except on Sundays.

hernan quijada: Amazing

Jack Miller: Amazing security! The guy by the front door does not let anyone in until 8 o’clock on the dot! It would be a tragedy if students got in and started working even a minute before 8 AM! What’s even better is he will call you a liar when you tell him your student ID opens the door!

Brian Eisemann: I can't say enough good things about this library. If you want to research something, this library is there for you. When I was a student at UT, this place was a home away from home, a sanctuary and temple of knowledge. Bravo to the UT library staff... You are the best of the best!
